Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy Smart, who was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first performance. From there to starring in a minor role in the film Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. This was not easy for Amy as she had transition from modelling to the acting profession. Models aren't thought of as great actors so they tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did not give up and ultimately she was offered bigger parts in the movies Varsity Blues and The 70s. Amy then moved into leading roles in the romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained the recognition she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. The actress continued to appear in major films, such as Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved recurring role.
