Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had many skills, such as being able perform, direct, produce, write plays, teach, and be Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of both a British father as well as an British-born Turkish Cypriot mother. Her appearances in commercials were numerous when she was a child. Anna was able to move to Toronto for her acting to develop. Later, the actress moved to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. Anna had just recently converted to Judaism and they got married in Fredericton.
