Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the romantic film Precious. As a child in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, Patton had many desires. Her mother was a movie fan and was a constant source of encouragement to her love for films as a child. Paula took part in numerous activities at school that were co-curricular and had a particular interest in dramatics. She was an excellent actress, and she enjoyed performing alongside her friends. After performing in a variety of performances at the high school of Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her occupation. She enjoyed her summer at University of Southern California. She was given a three month project to create documentaries for PBS. The first assignment was to be a production assist for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the assignment. After that, she began producing documentaries. While she enjoyed her job, she still wanted to become an actor. Her career began in acting by playing Will Smith's co-star for the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she has been on many TV and film shows.
